Cancer on the brain is bad, but cancer on the mind will ruin your health and quality of life too. Cancer on the mind is within our control. Our thinking is driven by what we choose to think about and how we choose to view our life. There will always be obstacles. There will always be challenges. I don’t always feel like preaching. We need to kill our flesh, get over our feelings and praise God whether we are glad or mad. Through our praise, he will give us strength through our joy.
A Cheerful Heart Is Good Medicine. (Proverbs 17:22)
Go home and YouTube “kid laughing”. Remind yourself what our factory default laugh sounds like because we all have one. Some of us have forgotten how to use it because they are so busy being angry or righteous that they forget about joy. God is full of joy, and he wants us to be strengthened by his joy. People go to comedy clubs, drink beverages, and laugh while Christians sit in churches looking mean and unhappy. Don’t be hateful and ungrateful. God is coming back for a glorious church, not a grumpy one.
Be Encouraged!
Lord, the Bible reads in Nehemiah 8:10 that we are to enjoy eating, drinking sweet drinks, and to have joy for the joy of the Lord is our strength. We clothe ourselves in strength and put on garments of splendor (Isaiah 52:1). We are raising the roof celebrating you, celebrating life, and being thankful for the opportunities that you have for us. We are doing what you tell us to do because you are the GREAT PROBLEM SOLVER. You work ALL things for our good, and you get ALL THE GLORY! In your glorious name, Amen.
