What we focus on is what manifests in our life. It can be easy to find ourselves in a negative mindset, down in the gutter, saying we don’t want to get our hopes up because life is hard and bad things happen. I remember getting married at 18 years old, being married for eight years, then she left me, divorced me, and I was all out of love. Negativity and hope cannot coexist in the same mindset.

Where The Mind Goes The Man Follows. (Proverbs 23:7)

I was depressed and expecting something bad to happen. I was thinking, “What’s wrong with me? My life is horrible!” But then I decided to change the way I was thinking.

Mind go negative, Man go negative.
Mind go positive, Man go positive.

I Renewed My Mind! (Romans 12:2)

I decided that I was going to renew my mind and that I was going to expect a miracle. So after changing my thinking, I started saying:

God, I thank you that you’re going to speak to me and show me things to come. (Jeremiah 33:3)
God, I know that you have blessed days out ahead of me. (Jeremiah 29:11)
God, I know you have good opportunities ahead of me. (Exodus 23:20)

I Had To Change Before My Situation Changed

I started exercising and thinking differently. Then I met Nicole and 17 years later I’m living my miracle. I’m telling you that God is not a respecter of people (Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11), but he is a respecter of faith (Hebrews 11:6, Luke 17:6). What are you expecting? You might be getting what you expect!
