Pursue Peace!

Have you ever been driving when someone cut you off and it ruined your day? Then they made an obscene hand gesture that made it worse? You don’t know them. You will probably never see them again, but now you want to return evil for evil. Maybe you frame your thinking with peace and realize the devil is trying to steal it. You look at them and say, “Praise the Lord.”

However…

If you didn’t get enough sleep, your kid hung up the phone on you, and you’re in the flesh, you probably got so mad that you had a coronary and ended up in the hospital.

SHAKE IT OFF!

Repay No One Evil For Evil. (Romans 12:17)

Everyone won’t like us and for some reason people drink haterade. They were fine with you when you were on their level. You have to say, “I don’t care, I have been called to live in peace and I WILL LIVE IN PEACEVILLE!”

Life Doesn’t Have To Be Rosy To Have Peace

A businessman sent his family ahead on a ship. It sank and his wife was the sole survivor of his family. While traveling to join his grieving wife, he wrote the hymn, It Is Well With My Soul while passing the location where his four daughter’s drowned.

Peace is a choice. Life doesn’t have to be rosy to have peace.

In the name of Jesus, I decree and declare that each person reading this today will receive rest in you no matter what they are facing. I rebuke any lies that they believe to the contrary. Lord, we know that you will work all things for our good (Romans 8:28), you want us to have long life (Psalm 91:16) and to have a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Lord, show each person that you’ve got this, whatever their “this” is today. We exchange the burden of our circumstances for your gift of peace. Thank you, Jesus. Amen!
