Do you ever do something wrong and think, “Uh, I better not tell God about it.” You may not do that, but I do. Let me share several examples of what this conversation with God sounds like.

Conversation #1: Our Shame
Us: “Hey, God. Thursday, I don’t know how to break it to you, but I…‘”

God: “Yeah, I was there.”

Us: “You were there?”

God: “Yeah, I’m omnipresent. I’m everywhere. And the part that I hated, son, was that you stayed away from Me for three days when you should have run straight to Me.”

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He’s faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Conversation #2: Our Boldness
Now it looks differently because we’ve had a revelation of grace and we’re back in church regularly. Now we approach the throne boldly.

Us: “Hi God, it’s Thursday. I messed up again.”

God: “I know.”

Us: “Father, I thank you. I approach the throne of grace. I thank you, Lord, that I’m working on it. Positionally, I know I’m right, but conditionally, I’m still messed up.”

God: “I know. I’ve got you covered.”

Conversation #3: God’s Amnesia
The next week we come back on Sunday.

Us: “Hey, God. Remember that thing I did on Thursday?”

God: “What thing? I can’t remember what you’re talking about.”

It’s as if God has spiritual amnesia. We might wonder how God can NOT remember? How is that possible? I don’t know. He’s God. He can do whatever He wants. I also don’t know how a brown cow eats green grass and gives white milk. I don’t have to figure this thing out, I just have to accept the fact that God loves me. And He loves you too!
