SHARE THIS POSTOne morning, when I was riding my bicycle in West Palm, I passed this guy with his fishing pole in the water. As I rode by, he called out. “Good morning!”
I thought, “What is YOUR deal? I’ve got a LOT of stuff to do today!” But, I felt the Lord say, “Go back! That guy’s got something to teach you.”
He was just as happy as a clam, sitting on an old chlorine bucket! He didn’t even have a tackle box. When I asked what he was doing, he said, “Well…I’m fishin’.”
(He probably thought’, “WOW! This guy’s a real brainiac!”)
Now, if that had been me, I’d have a fancy chair with two cup holders, an umbrella, and a fish app to find the fish. But then, I’d probably get distracted by my phone and I’d be MAXED!
But, this guy is just…CHILLIN’! Instead of buying dinner, he could do what he loved…. and just catch it!
Day to day, we tend to worry about a lot of dumb stuff that never happens. We stress ourselves out instead of CASTING all our cares on God, Who cares for us!
This guy had it all figured out!
His life was good! He’d tackled the whole STRESS situation… without even a tackle box!
