When there is a thing deep in our heart that God is drawing us toward, we need take that first step. God is efficient, he uses our experience and skills, as well as what’s in our heart for that thing he’s calling us to do. He gifts us with talents and abilities. We may not recognize them initially for what they are, but if we take that first step, God will lay out the next step. We have to put our feet in the water first.
We Don’t Start Out Knowing How To Do A Great Thing
I started as a worship leader who operated the parking lot snow plow between services. The dream in our heart often begins as magnificent but manifests itself very humbly in the early stages. Trust God and take the next step.
I Didn’t Know How, But I Was Willing
I didn’t know how to do multiple services or multiple sites. I didn’t know how to advertise or how to go on television. I just said, “Here I am, use me, and I’m just crazy enough to believe that you can do it through me.” What have you been telling God lately?
“Hey, Holy Ghost, WE GOT ONE!”
I could imagine God saying, “Finally SOMEBODY is willing! We said we would use the foolish things to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27). This is going to be a big win for Jesus because this joker doesn’t have much going for him – – EXCEPT that HE is willing, which is all we need!”
I Decree And Declare That I Am Willing And Obedient, And I Will Take The First Step!
Come to the house, early and on time to praise God. Now you’re blessing God, and he will reciprocate by blessing you. If you apply what you learn on Sunday, a year from now you won’t look the same, you won’t think the same, you won’t talk the same, and you won’t BE-THE-SAME. Hear the word, speak the word, and watch the word unfold in your life as you TAKE THE FIRST STEP! Amen!
