Solving your money problems is more than paying off debt, not creating new debt, or using a budget. The roadmap to debt freedom has a lot of obstacles that will trip you up.
Understanding How God Works
It’s critical for you to understand how God works so that when things get tough on your financial journey, you realize that God is walking the path with you and he has not forgotten you. In some of my blogs, I’m presenting examples of God showing favor to others who have faced trials as well.
The Pattern Repeats
Con: Brother’s betrayal and the pit
Pro: Not dying
Con: Sold into Slavery
Pro: Honored servant in a powerful household
Con: False accusation of rape
Pro: Favor while in prison
A Prospering Prisoner Seems Illogical
God can prosper you in godless places. God doesn’t look at our earthly condition to determine our heavenly position. The fleshly eye sees a pathetic prisoner; the spiritual eye sees a prosperous potentate.
Long Term Strategy: Attitude
Joseph did not whine or complain. He went about the business of God’s kingdom as if he had never been displaced, disrupted, or discouraged. Joseph felt God’s favor; even in prison.
Remember The Pattern
1. God-given dream
2. Enemies try to destroy you or the dream
3. Remaining faithful to God (not complaining)
4. God’s favor follows
5. Next trial begins; enemy attacks
6. Repeat
Trust God, stay faithful in agreeing with God, and stay determined to believe in your God-given dream.
