This will probably sound weird to you, but Nicole likes it when I get my eyelashes dyed. My television crew really likes it, too, because my eyelashes are so naturally blonde that they’re really hard to see on camera.
So, to please everyone, I sit in a chair while they put dye on my eyelashes. (I can see that I’m about to lose my “man card”, right now.) Girls…stay with me! Lol
The last time we were at the mall, I realized that it was about time to get it done, again. So, they set me up in a room with a 60-year-old Asian woman and we began talking as she worked.
She asked what I did… and I told her. She wanted to know what denomination I was. I told her, “Having a RELATIONSHIP with God will get you to heaven, NOT a label.”
Here’s where I messed up.
ME… a PROFESSIONAL… who speaks every day for a living. That’s as far as I went. There was a spirit of fear that shut me up.
I’d love to tell you that I prayed with her and she came to church the next Sunday. But, I’m embarrassed to say that I never even invited her to church!
This is our JOB! Friends don’t let friends go to hell!
Wherever we go: at the mall, in the grocery store, around school or at the office, we need to BE NICE to people and just INVITE everyone to church. The Holy Spirit will handle the rest!
Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!
Pastor David, thank you for your transparency. I’ve done that before and felt bad about it as well however I do realize it is our duty to be disciples.
I understand. Mine was a little different my coworker said she didn’t believe in the Bible because it was man made. I was so thrown off I couldn’t respond I just looked at her. Now time has passed I have a lot to say but she no longer works we me. I’m praying that God gives me the words to say if I ever come across this again.
Thanks Miss Opportunity
Go back there and talk to her!
