In our bathroom, we have two sinks. Nicole has her sink and I have my sink. She has HER drawer… and I have MY drawer.
That’s, basically, so we can stay married. (Lol)
But the other day, Nicole was looking for something and ended up at my sink. When she opened my drawer… she flat LOST IT!
“Oh my gosh! Look at all this crap!” (She wasn’t wrong.)
I know my side is nasty, but I’m a guy, okay? Yes, I’ve got razors lying on top of toothbrushes. Yes, I spit in the sink and I throw my underwear on the ceiling fan for organization.
I really don’t see the problem. She knew I was a guy when she married me! In fact, that’s kind of WHY she married me!
So I told her, “Just stay out of my drawer! You know you shouldn’t look in there! You know how it upsets you, so don’t deliberately overwhelm yourself!”
Many of the emotionally overwhelming things that happen to us are just the enemy trying to steal our peace. Because if he can get our peace then he can steal our ability to enjoy our lives!
The joy of the Lord is our strength! We have to avoid situations that we know might overwhelm us. It’s a SET UP by the enemy!
So, stop setting yourself up to be UPSET!
Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!
Lol, funny how you just posted this and I’m experiencing that same movement. It’s always a setup no matter how you se it.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you for this reminder. I’m not married but my son will do something that flares my last good nerve 🙁 which is what our adversary wants. I will not allow my joy to be taken.
Perfect message at the perfect time. I needed to be reminded that the enemy is always trying to tear me down.
