We Always Have A Choice
Have you ever found yourself in a rhythm where the enemy, or the inner-me, just knocks the joy out of your life? The bible Says, “The joy of the lord is our strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
For us to have no joy means having no strength. We drain our own energy and strength by not choosing joy.

Do we realize it’s our choice?

It is possible that RIGHT NOW we are in some of the happiest times of our life, and we don’t even know it. We don’t realize that we should enjoy where we are RIGHT NOW.

God wants us to choose to enjoy our life.

God wants us to embrace today and not to worry about tomorrow. In 1 peter 5:7, he said, “Cast all your cares upon me, for I care for you.”

He wants us to carry our burdens, struggles, and challenges.

God wants us to grasp the idea that He is going to do all of the carrying and all of the worrying, (if there is such a thing in Gods’ world). He wants us to enjoy our life to the full. He doesn’t want us to fight for the victory because we’re fighting from a position of victory.

God is crazy about you.

God wants us to embrace the fact that he is crazy about us. When we sniffle, cough, or have something that is bugging us, it MATTERS TO HIM. He is right there to say, “Let me carry that for you. I don’t want you to carry this alone.

Circumstances surround us, so we tend to believe them more than God.

The word circumstances come from the word circumference. It has totally surrounded us so that we think there is no way out.

Are you in the “I’ll be happy when” trap?

At one point, I had the mentality, “I’ll be happy when I get divorced.” (That would be in reference to my first marriage.) My feelings were conditional and based on whatever I was listening to (music) or feeling. They were not based on the unchanging word of God.

Why do we put off “being happy” until tomorrow, when we could do it right now?

I had to encourage myself through the troubles. When I listened to the wrong things, I would think, “I’ll be happy when (insert circumstance here).” Some of you are speeding along, burning through life instead of just saying, “You know what? I’m going to be happy now!”

Don’t wait to:

− Be happy when you get a job; be happy that you don’t have a job!
− Be happy when you have kids; you’ll be saying I’ll be happy when they go to school!
− Be happy when you get a man; then you’ll be saying, “God, why did you give me this man?”

TODAY IS THE DAY TO DECIDE FOR THAT YOU’RE GOING TO BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU!
