Have you ever used a boomerang? Well, I haven’t either but they look really cool! It’s traditionally a v-shaped flying tool with a curved edge used as a weapon or for sport. The customary intent was for this weapon to return back to the thrower (if thrown properly). It comes full circle. The Word of God is the same way. The bible says that the Word of God will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). When God speaks things happen.

God Can’t Lie

God said, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3) and there was light.
God said, “Let the water gather in one place and dry land appear” (Genesis 1:9) and it did.
If God says, “Let there be miniature purple polka-dotted horses” they would show up. (Wouldn’t that be AWESOME?) If God says it will be, then it will be.

The Devil Is A Liar

In the bible it says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” (John 10:10) He doesn’t just want to do this physically but relationally. He wants to divide and conquer. The devil will use other people to steal the Word right out of our life. We get offended at God (and leave), we get offended at the church (and leave), and we get offended at people (and leave). The devil has effective tactics. Know them, learn them, and let’s stop letting him get away with it.

Identify What The Enemy Is Doing

Knowing is half the battle. We have to realize there is an enemy who is using every angle he can come up with to attack us in our day. He wants us in strife, anxiety, and to steal our joy. We allow it! We let him steal the Word, we choose to get out of love and we fall away. He wants us distanced from God, so he will steal our excitement for the kingdom and what God is doing in and around us.

The Enemy Will Even Use Blessings To Jack Us Up

Think about it, the more stuff we own, the more worries, concerns, burdens we tend to have, am I wrong? Yet God has no problem with us having money, He just doesn’t want money to have us. “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return, and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.” (Luke 12:48) God wants us to have a right relationship with money, which begins with a right relationship with HIM.

It All Begins With A Right Relationship

How?
1. Surrender to Jesus.
2. Bless Him at all times and stay thankful (you’re breathing, right?)
3. Read your Bible even when you don’t feel like it. (Get a translation that you understand, keep reading and God will show you what it means.)
4. Revere God no matter what He is doing in your life.

Allow the seed of His Word to sink into your cultivated soil and don’t let the enemy steal it!
