In the Bible, it says, “Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you…” (John 15:16)
You’re wondering about the “WHATEVER” part, aren’t you? Whatever you ask the Father, in the name of Jesus, he will give it to you when you pray.
The Bible says, “…Pray without ceasing…” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and that means you can talk to God under your breath throughout your day, about WHATEVER it is that you desire or need, and he will answer your prayers.
This might be a new concept for you if you are the person who has been taught that prayer must be systematically performed at church or in the kneeling position. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with those positions in prayer, but there’s also nothing wrong with acknowledging your Father who is by your side every day, and telling him what’s on your mind.
There are times when people try to impress God with their Elizabethan English, when really God just wants us to speak with him in the same that he hears us communicate with people all day. Don’t put on religious airs or a fake voice when you’re talking to God. He receives you just as you are and loves it when you talk to him.
I encourage you today to ask the Father to be involved in every decision throughout your day and to continue communicating with him until you go to bed.
