If you rent a car, you keep it a few days, and then you have to return it. If you go back to the car rental place and tell them that you want to GIVE them the car as a gift of appreciation. They will laugh at you.

You Can’t Give What You Don’t Own

Keeping a rental car (without paying for it) just because they gave you the keys and you didn’t have to sneak in and steal it is no justification. There are laws. They loan you the car based on a specific amount of time and a specific payment. Our income came from God, and we honor him by returning ten percent to him.

God Can’t Honor Dishonor

God would be dishonorable if he were to bless us while we are dishonoring him by holding onto our tithe. God can’t bless that which is not blessable because God can’t go against his word. God wants to bless us, but the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, and our dishonor opens the door for someone to take our wealth.

God Gave His First

God proved his love by giving us his first. God so loved the world that he gave his first and only begotten Son (John 3:16). The reason God gets offended when we won’t tithe is that the nail marks in Jesus’ hands show God’s commitment to us, but when he looks at our hands, we say, “Oh, I’m sorry, I can’t give you a dime out of a dollar.”

Give The Stolen Car Back

I decree and declare that people are getting breakthroughs with this information today. They are ready to stop driving the stolen car and using God’s tenth to pay for it. They see the overspending, the debt, and the lifestyle through new eyes and they realize the need to return the ten percent to God. They want to honor God with the first part of their income (Proverbs 3:9), and they are ready to test God (Malachi 3:10). Amen!
