Newsmax did a study last Fall and in their research, they discovered that I’m not qualified to pastor our church. I’m homeschooled and I didn’t go to seminary. When a reporter asked if I would hire someone with my background and education to pastor a church this big I answered, “No.” The best part about this scenario is that I started the church, so they can’t kick me out!

The Chosen Ones

But you are the ones chosen by God. Chosen by God for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be the holy people, God’s instrument to do the work, to speak out for him, to tell others about the night and day difference it made in your life. (1 Peter 2:9)

The Called – This Means You

I’m not a pastor because I’m good. I’m a pastor because God qualified me. My present position is not based on my education. God calls me and he’s calling you. You can do it – that thing that God put in our heart – even if the world says you can’t. A bumblebee isn’t supposed to fly, but it does.

Qualifying Experience

The more messed up we are and the more we’ve been through often means we have a greater opportunity for success. The devil knew we had potential so he tried to take us out early in life. Google Oprah and you’ll see that she was molested. Google my wife Nicole Crank and you will find that she was molested, abandoned, raped, an unwed single mother, now pastor of a mega church and wife to ME. Life experience is all that’s needed. God is the one who qualifies us.

Be Encouraged!

Lord, we trust that no circumstance is above your ability to breakthrough. We know that you want good things for us and that you work all things for our good. We rest in the knowledge that we are chosen and qualified by YOU. Amen!
