If we think about the saying, ‘Is the glass half full or half empty?’ that phrase is asking whether or not we see the positive or negative side of life. The most effective person is the one who, when everything is going wrong, chooses to say, “God I KNOW you’re going to do something great with this!” That person has a clean container which is probably washed daily in the Word of God.

We Tend To Fill Ourselves Up With:

– The opinions of others instead of what God says about us
– Media instead of time in church or in God’s Word
– Busy work, cleaning house, working in the yard, or running errands instead of making it to a bible study
– Sleeping in rather than giving God the first part of our day

Would You Want To Use A Dirty Container?

Sometimes we get comfortable thinking we’ve always done it this way. We choose not to give God all compartments of our life. That is like someone asking us to use a partitioned Tupperware container that has a couple of clean compartments and a couple of dirty, crusty, stained compartments. They may tell us to ignore the dirty sections and work with the clean ones. Would that be ok with YOU? I’m going to guess that it would not. So why do we ask God to do that with our life?

Be Encouraged!

God loves you as you are today and He wants to use you. He wants to start on the inside and work His way out. Will you let Him into all areas of your life today so that He can write His Story on your clean container? He has GREAT things in store for you!
