The Small Things Matter
God has been dealing with me about being thankful and grateful. I prayed today about the little things God has done for me. We need to turn blessings into praise, or else they turn into pride in our lives.
The Wish List And Being Grateful
We walk through life circling things we want in the catalog. We need to be reviewing the past year and thanking him for what he has already done. We don’t need an accumulation of more stuff; we need more appreciation for God. If we grow in gifts, but we don’t grow in gratitude, what have we gained?
We Show Appreciation To The Electric Company
In our relationship with the electric company, we give them a priority, and we show appreciation by paying them on time and regularly. If we forget to show them the proper thankfulness, they will send us a notice, and then they will stop providing us with power. God loves a thankful heart. I think most of us do.
It’s A New Day!
Repeat after me. I decree and declare that God is good all the time! I thank you Lord for your provision. Thank you for every blessing I’ve never thanked you for. Thank you for the bad things could have but did not happen. Thank you for the tough times that helped me grow. Thank you for your covering of protection. Most of all, thank you for turning all things for my good and your glory (Romans 8:28). Amen!
