We do it in our businesses, in our families, in church and we do it because we want our lives to matter. We want to know that our time here on earth made a difference. Serving. It’s was Jesus’ example to us.

We Were Made For This

We each have a God-given talent (and some of us have more than one). We have unique talents, personalities, and skill sets. When we ask Jesus into our lives, we’re given at least one spiritual gift (sometimes more). We are the most satisfied and fulfilled when we work in those gifts. We come together as a church, as people who love God – many parts equaling a whole – to build the church (Ephesians 4:16).

Benefits of serving and using our gifts:
1. Discover and develop our spiritual gifts
2. Experience miracles
3. Experience joy and peace that comes from obedience
4. Be more like Jesus
5. Be surrounded by other Christians who can help us follow Jesus
6. It’s good for your soul

Be Encouraged

God made you, he loves you, and he knows you. He has given EVERY one of us a gift, and the spectrum is broad. If you can do it, God can use it. We have greeters at the door, people directing cars, setting up equipment, singing, writing, serving coffee, cleaning, burning CD’s, and putting information packets together every week (and that’s not even scratching the surface.) All are equally parts of the whole and are needed just as every part of our body. I encourage you to use your gift to make the difference for someone else today. Amen!

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:21
