Negative thinking will keep you from enjoying life.

A negative person expects nothing off a silver platter except tarnish.

I was watching television with my daughter a few years ago, and there was a lady on American Idol who didn’t win and during every interview, she was crying, every single time! Ashtyn said, “Man She’s Bringing Me Down!” And I was glad she spoke up because I was feeling the same!

If we don’t pay attention to our surroundings and how they affect our mindsets, we can allow things and people around us to keep us negative and in a melancholy state.

It is very dangerous to hang around negative people who allow circumstances to control and influence their behavior and attitudes on a daily basis. I understand that all of us have an occasional bad day but we should not allow it to become a lifestyle.

In Romans 12:2 it says “Don’t Be Like The World And This Can Mean In Mindsets, Attitudes, Thinking, And Reactions.” By reading God’s word you can “transform” how you think. In Jeremiah 29:11 it says “God Wants Only Good For You And For You To Have Hope.” When you look at Romans 8:28 you see that no matter what happens in your life, God works all things for our good.

We are not to be like the world in our thinking, we are to program ourselves with God’s word, not the words of those around us, we are to have a hope which keeps us focused on the positive and when things go wrong we are to look to God to see how he will turn that situation around for our good. Negative thinking does not align with how the bible says we are to be.

There’s a little song that says: “Little ears be careful what you hear.”

We see what we expect to see, not what we can see.
We hear what we expect to hear, not what we can hear.
We think what we expect think, not what we can think.
