Do You Have A Wait Problem?

God is a master designer. He created intricate systems inside of us and likewise in the world that we interact with on a daily basis. He made everything unique, even if it appears the same on the surface. Let’s talk about the surface and how we jack things up. God doesn’t settle, and he doesn’t want us to either, however, he also doesn’t need our help.

Sarah Jacked Things Up By Helping God

Sarah and Abraham wanted kids. God told them they would have one. (Genesis 17:16, 18:10) In her impatience, Sarah came up with the bright idea of having her husband have relations with her servant and then Sarah would raise the child as her own. (Genesis 16:2-6) As you can imagine a whole multitude of problems arose because Sarah decided to help God. How often do we try to help God because we think He isn’t moving fast enough?

God Always Stands By His Word

God specifically told Abraham and Sarah that He would give them a son. Ishmael was born and they tried to reference him as the one God intended for them. God told them there would be another. Sarah had Isaac a year later. (Genesis 17:18-21) God is good.

We Create Our Problems When We Grow Impatient With God. Just Wait

God cannot lie. If He puts something in your heart that He is going to do, He will. Don’t grow impatient and delay His blessing by trying to help Him. He will deliver it to you in His timing. He knows when the best time is better than you do. Stop helping. God is faithful. We need to wait, be faithful and praise Him for what He is going to bring into our life until He brings it.
