Anyone in a position of authority receives training, a book of standards, equipment and backup. As an example, electricians are certified to work on electrical lines and their certification authorizes them to perform specialized work. They have equipment to protect them, and they have authority and electrical code rules to enforce. They don’t have to wonder what will happen if all hell breaks loose. They know that their teammates, management chain, company and even electric companies from other states will come back them up as needed.
Christian Authority
As Christians, we have authority that is given to us by Christ. Our protection is the shield of faith and breastplate of righteousness, and our weapon is God’s word. We don’t have to wonder what will happen because all of heaven will back us up as long as we are in alignment with God’s word.
It’s Not Just About Missing Hell
It’s not just about missing hell, but getting sworn in with all authority and power in the earth realm. Our firepower is in our words. Our words bind the enemy.
– Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth [with your tongue] will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)
– I have given you authority to…overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. (Luke 10:19)
– The LORD will make you the head, not the tail… you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. (Deuteronomy 28:13)
If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
Take Ownership Of Your Authority In Christ And Talk Back To The Enemy
If addictions, drug problems or the enemy talks smack to us, we need to TALK BACK! Stop talking nice to the enemy, PLEASE, because he won’t stop. We can’t beat the enemy with OUR words; we need to use GOD’S WORD. Accept your God-given authority today and walk with confidence in His name. Amen!
