If we don’t stick out neck out we will never get ahead. Are we going to stay focused on the past and go backwards? Or are we going to stay in place where it feels safe? In both cases, we starve and die emotionally, spiritually, financially, and relationally. We do not net results when we stand still. If we take the risk and move forward, there is a world of unrealized opportunity.
Stay Or Go We Have Nothing to Lose
Four lepers sat at the entrance of a city that was starving and under threat of a nearby army. The lepers had three options: go back into the city, starve and die; stay in place, starve and die; or go out and surrender to the army and die OR live and get fed. If the army killed them, the inevitable would just happen sooner. They had nothing to lose and everything to gain. (2 Kings 7:3-4)
This Word Is For YOU!
In the story of the lepers, the threatening army panicked and ran leaving an empty camp full of valuables and food. Because the lepers took a chance and didn’t sit comfortably behind the city walls, they got PAID!!! If we will stop sitting in our comfort zone, acting as if we have something to lose and if we will take the opportunities God is giving us then this will be OUR year. Believe it, receive it, and speak it!
Be Encouraged
Lord, we believe that you have generously created opportunities that we can benefit from if we will step out. We want to join you in what you are doing around us. Lord, we know that you bless us so that we can be a blessing to others.
