Healing: Receiving It

Only 10% of the people who receive their healing physically or emotionally keep it. Only 10% glorify God and are grateful to him, the rest forget what he did for them and go back to thinking the way the world thinks. The world’s plan is not pretty for us, yet we continue to go the way of the world instead of aligning with God’s plan. The way God says we need to live out our healing in his word.

Preparing

There are different ways for God to heal us. He does it through miracles or through a process of healing as we go. Healing denotes a process of time, and that means in order to get it AND keep it we need to walk that path in gratefulness. Thanking God for what he has done and is doing in and for us right now whether we FEEL it or not.

The Process

In Luke 18:14, the story of the ten lepers healed by Jesus reads, …and as they went, their leprosy disappeared.

The phrase as they went denotes a process of time. They didn’t receive the immediate miracle; they were healed over time. Of the ten, only one returned to thank Jesus. In return, Jesus told him “Your faith has made you well.” (Luke 18:19) There is a combination of thankfulness that prepared him to receive and faith that healed him. How many of us are missing one or both or are inconsistent in standing firm?

Grateful Gets Rid Of Hateful, While Thankfulness Brings Joy

We need to stop listening to the world and start listening to our pastor, our heart and the word of God. The worlds plan is not one of success. Discontent and thankfulness cannot reside in the same space (#Prescription for Success). God wants to bless every person, but the person ready to receive with open hands is the thankful person.
