Emotions roll up and down like a roller coaster. The enemy uses them to dilute our effectiveness because he realizes how much we allow ourselves to be influenced by them. When we begin to manage our emotions, that is when we control our life and the final outcome that God has planned for us. When we allow our feelings and emotions to control us, they become like a huge pendulum swinging back and forth from hour to hour like a grandfather clock.

Control your emotions by controlling your thoughts.

Choose not to dwell on negative thoughts, make the conscious decision to feed only on positive thoughts. As soon as a negative thought tries to enter, you redirect it. FIND that silver lining. No matter how crazy you have to get, focus on whatever good you can find. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23

– Do your fingernails hurt?
– Does your hair hurt?
– Does your pen write?
– Are you breathing?
– Can you blink?
– Did you go to work or school today?

No matter what someone somewhere has it worse than you.

Be thankful.

Find the good.

Refuse to allow your emotions to control you, instead, YOU control them. No matter how dire your circumstances you always have a choice and that is the attitude you choose to have towards the situation you face. Your attitude is ALWAYS your choice.
