In the book of Ruth, if she had not had someone ADVANCED coaching her, she would have gotten stuck in a hand-me-down lifestyle, like a beggar, dependent upon what is being dropped for her.

Due to having a WISE MENTOR, Ruth no longer gets what is dropped in the field, she BECOMES THE OWNER of the field.

Ruth is a young woman who has many setbacks & obstacles including the death of her husband. After such severe loss, she chooses to stay with her mother-in-law, Naomi.

As the story goes, Ruth has great favor with Boaz, the owner of the field. He likes her so much that he begins to purposefully have his workers drop grain in massive amounts for her to pick up in the field. This is an absolutely wonderful thing, however it would be easy for Ruth to GET STUCK in a welfare mentality depending on others, if she didn’t have the coaching of Naomi.

In chapter 3, Naomi encourages Ruth to take it to the next level, “Anoint yourself, dress, and at the end of today, make yourself available for dinner with the owner.” (This advice is only offered because Naomi knows the character of Boaz and knows it is safe to recommend this.)

We need to INCREASE IN WISDOM DAILY and bring people around us to ENCOURAGE US to go to the next level.

Don’t get stuck.

Don’t plateau.

Move from receiving what is being dropped for you and begin to drop for others!
