We Have A God Problem
America has been taking God out of schools. Gangs are running our communities. There are shootings in schools. Our government has the largest deficit ever. God knows things we don’t know. By excluding him, his wisdom is missing from our decisions and our communities.
The Effectual Fervent Prayer Of A Man Availeth Much (James 5:16)
God loves people no matter their sexual orientation, their denomination, or whether or not they know him yet. If we aren’t talking with God regularly, then we’ve cut ourselves off from an unending love source. When we work using only our strength, we will fall short.
We Attract People By Staying Connected To The God Of Love
When we haven’t been talking or listening to God, it is easy to be judgmental and to alienate people. We need to get out of God’s way, stop our inner lawyer, and start loving people. Love doesn’t have to be right. And love is God. So if we want to be more loving, we need to hang with God more often.
Be Encouraged
Lord, help my friends to know that talking to you creates small tweaks that lead to big peaks. If they take one step toward you, you’ll take many toward them. Help them to see that they are made in your likeness, and they are your child, even if they don’t believe in you. You talk to them, whether they talk to you or not for you are faithful and unchanging. Lord, fill us with your love to deactivate our inner lawyer, allowing your love to flow through. In your mighty and matchless name, amen!
