When my dad was just 56 years old, he died from melanoma. (That’s a tumor associated with skin cancer.)

So, I go to the dermatologist a LOT! Especially, when I’m in Florida. After all, it’s the Sunshine State! The doctors, there, should know a little something about skin cancer.

I’m like, “Check me! Check it ALL out! Check between my toes!”

But, to get checked, you gotta strip down to your underwear. And if the doctor walks in… and it’s a woman…I’m suddenly thinking,

I… don’t…  know. I’m not sure if you need to check this or not. I’ll probably be okay! I’m just gonna GO!” (Then, I try to reach for my clothes.)

But, that’s just my PRIDE talking. You can’t spell pride without a big ol’ capital “I” right in the middle!

There’s a difference between being proud and being IN pride. I can be PROUD of my kids, my wife, and my church.

But PRIDE is all about ME! What will they think? How will I look? What will they say?

God HATES pride!

Let’s just put our pride aside! God gives grace to the humble… and we can all use a little more GRACE!

Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!

Yes pride is something that can hinder anyone from receiving what God has in plan for their lives. The world tries to promote all of the advertising about things to beautify oneself and the consumerism. But God promises when we come with a humble heart, it makes us like able to others.
