My Dad started reading scripture about money, and he had a revelation. It wasn’t that money was the root of all evil, it was the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10). My Dad read that we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7) and that the windows of heaven would pour out so much blessing that there would not be room enough to store it (Malachi 3:10). So, Dad asked God for a bigger seed to sow.

People Are A Source, And God Ts THE Source

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness (2 Corinthians 9:10). God brought a man to our travel trailer one night who said he hadn’t slept at all the night before. He threw an envelope at my Dad and said, “Here, this is for you!” It was $500. When God wants to get money into your hands, he’s not going to leave that person alone until they obey.

Obey The Leading Before Your Rational Side Takes Over

My Dad was excited until God reminded him that he had asked for a bigger seed to sow. God told him to take out enough for food for the family and then to sow the rest. Dad immediately bought a money order and mailed the money to sow it. He knew if he slept on it, he would rationalize a way out the next day and would disobey.

Be Encouraged

The Lord wants to do good things, big things, he wants to resource you if you have the right relationship with money.

The reason so many people don’t choose to go big or go home is they want to do the math on their miracle. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Amen!
