Smiling, joy and enthusiasm are ALWAYS a choice, not just the result of your current circumstances. It is a decision that you consciously make for yourself.

The word enthusiasm comes from a Greek word entheous which means “God within ” or “full of God”.

Christians should be the most joy-filled, most enthusiastic, people on earth! Choosing enthusiasm and joy will improve your personality and people’s opinion of you.

If you think about it, our every task and moment is for the Lord, so where it says in the bible, “Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” (Ephesians 6:7) It might also mean we should be enthusiastic in all we do no matter what our circumstances or how we feel.

I was recently out to lunch and I wasn’t in the best mood due to several factors that had affected me that day. Some people a couple of tables over spotted me, waved, then smiled. I looked back and smiled slightly, but I wasn’t the man I’m sure they had expected me to be. Within two minutes I chose to have an attitude adjustment.

The fact is that however you are feeling in the moment WILL change and later you WILL regret allowing your mood to affect your mojo.

Today I encourage and challenge you to MAKE THE CHOICE to keep a smile on your face, a skip in your step & joy in your heart!!!
