Did you know that YOUR MIND is the greatest TOOL in your tool chest?

My Dad LOVED old cars and fixing them up, so he always had a couple of large red tool chests sitting in the garage. While I didn’t know the purpose of most of my Dad’s tools, he knew what they were AND he actually used them!

The right tool in the right hand can really get a non-functioning car dialed in like a racecar.

Do you ever notice how when you don’t use your mind, it can become fearful, frustrated and tends to worry? Your mind is like a tool that is “rusting in the tool box” and it will become your enemy if you don’t stretch it regularly.

If we want our life to run on all-cylinders and at PEAK PERFORMANCE then we have to learn to keep our minds sharp by using them to the best of our ability. In order to do go to that next level, you have to embrace “Continuing Education”. I believe that to be a leader you have to be a reader. You have to keep growing and not let the fast pace of change – PASS YOU BY!

One of the greatest ways to DULL your mind is to LET IT SIT IDLE with “social media”. I love social media but sometimes you can become overly occupied with it. Your mind is not necessarily stretched by 140 characters or less and at the end of the day you’re no smarter than you were at the beginning.

Remember a mind stretched NEVER returns to its original size.
