People who stay planted are the ones who flourish. When we wake up and look outside and see trees, we don’t question if any given tree was on the other side of the building yesterday. Trees don’t get up and move because it is too hot, too cold, or too dry. Trees stay planted and adapt.

Trees Don’t Move, They Adapt

Trees overcome circumstances. They stay in place long enough to sink their roots deep to weather the storms. When it is dry, they send their roots out further in search of water. Trees don’t move when they feel like it; and because they stay planted they flourish in place.

Find Something That You Feel Like God Told You To Do And Stick With It

Be like a postage stamp. Take a lickin’ and keep on stickin’. A stamp sticks with it until it reaches its assigned destination. We need to do the same. When it’s hot, cold, fun, not fun, stick with it. Psalm 92:13 reads, those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

We Have To Show Up To Receive Our Gift

At Christmas time, we see Christmas gifts under the tree. If I don’t show up at the house to receive my gifts, then I don’t receive the blessing. I think this is how God must feel at times; he wants to bless people, but they are not where he told them to be. He might have nudged them to go to his house or to get up early to spend time with him so he could give them a word. By not showing up, they miss the appointment.

Be Encouraged

Lord, I decree and declare that each person reading this today is getting planted. They are sinking their roots so deep in your word and in your house, that they are unmoved by storms. They are planted by your river of living water. Their consistency enables them to flourish. Their best days and their blessed days are ahead of them. Amen!
