The first one to apologize is walking in the perfect will of God. The first one to apologize is going to enjoy their life. If couples were forgiving each other 490 times a day (Matthew 18:22), there would be less resentment between them, fewer critical words, and more love.

God’s Guidance About Dealing With Others

Vengeance is mine. (Romans 12:19)
Love your enemies. (Matthew 5:44)
Bless those who curse you. (Luke 6:28)
Do Good to those who hate you. (Luke 6:27)
Pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:44)
Turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:38)

Pray For Your Enemies. (The Wrong Way)

Ok, God, I’m going to need some help with this prayer: “God have mercy on those evildoers who have come against me and open up hell and let them fall in. Thank you.” Ok, let me try again. “God, with me may your mercy and lovingkindness be new every morning but let those foes who come against me, God eat at their flesh with leprosy.” Technically I’m praying for them, right? Well, that’s not exactly what God had in mind, but that was what my flesh wanted.

Enjoy Your Life And Let It Go

With blessing comes persecution (Matthew 5:10) and the faithful person will abound in blessing (Proverbs 28:20). So when blessing hits, we need to drop it, turn the other cheek, and stop caring what THEY say about us. We need to care about what God says.

Be Encouraged

Say this with me. “God I truly forgive them. I drop it. I leave it. I let it go. God, BLESS them. God reverse this situation and turn it around for my good. I have no animosity toward them, and I am full of joy that when others persecute me, you will bless me. I forgive, I let it go, and I’m going to count it not a wrong done. Amen!”
