Do you pray in the morning? You probably assume that since I’m a pastor, I am automatically PRO-prayer! But what if I told you, with 100% honesty, that the POWER OF PRAYER is the thing you might be missing that will CATAPULT you to where you want to be?

Prayer Confusion

Many times people are confused about prayer and they think it’s an obligation or a ritual that needs to be recited in Elizabethan English to impress God. Nothing can be further from the truth. God hears the way you speak 24 hours a day. He KNOWS the sound of YOUR voice and the authenticity of YOUR heart.
You would have conversations with your spouse or significant other, right? If you didn’t talk to them, there would be no relating…or RELATIONSHIP!

It Really Is Just A Conversation

Prayer is nothing more than a conversation you have with God every day, all day. It’s ongoing as you go about your tasks, including him in all things. You see, God cares about the small things, if he didn’t, he wouldn’t have made every snowflake pattern different.

It’s Personal And Informal, Just Include Him

Praying is not necessarily something that you need to do with your eyes closed or with your head bowed. While there’s nothing wrong with those stances in prayer but God wants you to pray conversationally to him and with him continually as if he were a friend walking with you all day long and you are discussing what’s going on in your day with him. He CARES.

Prayer Guilt

Don’t feel guilty because you ask God to bless you or help you. YOU are the one that God wants to use to help some of the people in your world. People who may desperately need financial assistance, food, clothing, or other necessities of life.

If God Doesn’t Bless You, You Can’t Bless Them

If God can get it THROUGH you, he will get it TO you. Don’t ever allow the enemy to make you feel selfish in your prayers. I encourage you today to PRAY BIG BOLD PRAYERS asking God to help you so that you can help others!
