Most days, I have to deal with the “Worried Me” versus “The Word Me”.
The “Worried Me” frets too much and thinks negative thoughts. He wakes me up in the middle of the night and says stuff like:
- You’ve taken your church as far as you can!
- Your leadership-led (not Spirit-led).
- You’ve hit the wall!
- This is as big as you’re ever gonna get!
- You’re in WAY over your head!
He just tries to worry me SICK!
Then, the Word in me speaks up. “Hang on, just a doggone minute!!!”
The Bible says, that if any man lacks wisdom (and I certainly do) then I can ask of God and He will give it to me. God will give me all the tools and provision I need to do whatever I’m called to do.
Research companies and “experts” will study our church and say stuff like, “It’s crazy! How is this possible?” They’re always astounded at how we’re able to do what we do.
You and I are called to do something EXTRAORDINARY for God! But, the “Worried You” will try to keep you occupied and exhausted!
Meanwhile, the “Word You” will just go right on confusing and confounding the experts!
Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!
