Just because something doesn’t happen in our timing doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. Wanting and waiting develops character. We need to grasp what God is doing today to prepare us for tomorrow. If he gave us our desire today, we likely wouldn’t have the character to keep it.

It’s Not Happening Because They Won’t Change

God is always fixing our problems, but THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE US. I can pray for God to change my wife and kids, but then God might tell me that I’m the problem. However, when I get myself right, I begin to realize I’m the luckiest guy in the world. God is doing something IN us. And what he does IN us directly affects what’s going on around us. This delay is not a denial it’s that we’re NOT READY.

Find Contentment In All Circumstances

There might be a single Mom out there who wants a man of God. She might think, “I’ll be happy when I get that man.” Someone else is saying, “I’ll be happy when I get that job.” The point is if we can’t be happy in our current circumstance then we won’t be happy later.
Paul said I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. (Philippians 4:11)

Be Encouraged!

Repeat after me: Lord I’m getting right before you today. Help me see my circumstances differently. And to surrender to the changes that are needed in me. Give me contentment while I wait expectantly. I expect good breaks and crazy opportunities because your favor is on my life. I’m not comparing myself. I’m not trying to make things happen. My focus is on you who can do exceedingly abundantly more than all I could ever ask, think, dream, or imagine. In Jesus name. Amen!
