Your calling takes second place. The first thing we are called to is peace before everything else. If we don’t have peace inside, we are unable to hear God’s whispers. Peace is our priority, and fortunately, it is a gift from God.

What Is God Looking For?

Willingness. God is telling you to do something. What are you hearing? The devil isn’t going to tell you to help someone, to serve, or to take a step of faith that has been in your heart to do for years. God never asks if we have the money to do what he is asking us to do. He wants to know if we are willing. If it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill.

What Equals Success?

Obedience. For everything God has told me to do, the devil has a reason it won’t work. Agree with God, not with the devil. We can keep from getting overwhelmed by focusing the Problem Solver instead of the problem.

Think Like God Thinks

Put on the garments of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isaiah 61:3). Choose joy. Find ways to laugh. Know that the J word is bigger than the C word, D word, B word, and the F word. Jesus is bigger than Cancer, Divorce, Bankruptcy and Flooding.

Be Encouraged

Lord, we don’t see the problem, we look right through it to you and your promises. We stand firm on what you say instead of what the devil says. We seek your peace (Philippians 4:7). With a willing heart, we are open to what you are telling us to do. We know you will provide (Philippians 4:19). In the middle of great turmoil, we will find ways to laugh and to lighten our hearts because you ask us to rejoice and again I say REJOICE (Philippians 4:4)! Amen.

Recommendation: Next consider The Floodplain of Favor and Thankfulness. I think you will be blessed by the message as you pair it with this one.
