God is looking for a church that is full of supernaturally filled people pursuing the presence and power of God so that people’s lives can be changed. God is not looking for a megachurch full of thousands of people, some people who are committed, some people who are not committed, and some, well, that probably need to be committed. (Just kidding.) When we pursue God, we’ll just THINK of things and they will happen. Have you ever been thinking about something and the person next to you starts talking about it? How did that happen, they didn’t know what you were thinking. Well, I’ll tell you, it’s supernatural!
Are Our Hands Reaching For The Darkness Or The Light?
The challenge is that if our hands are full, we can’t receive a gift being offered to us. Likewise, if we hold onto the dark stuff, we can’t grab hold of the light stuff. We need to say, “GOD BRING IT! I don’t know which way the wind is blowing, but I know it’s blowing in my favor!” That’s the attitude we need to have. Expect the best, believe the best. There is no fear when we’re walking in the light!
Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (John 3:20)
Let’s Willingly Get The Spotlight Onto Our Life. Just Rip The Band-Aid Off!
When we’re hungry for God, we say, “God here I am, turn the light on, search me, touch me!” because whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3:21)
It’s Happening, Yet We Continue To Resist
There is a supernatural thing that is happening faster than the natural things. Just because we don’t see God’s wind blowing, doesn’t mean it’s not moving. Yet we sit in darkness with the attitude that we aren’t going to get on our knees, we aren’t going to read our bible or go to church on Tuesday night. We’re just going to keep doing what we want to do!
We Spend Too Much Time Between What We THINK We Want And Something AWESOME!
We waste too much time in the struggle between the darkness and the light. People are often like a dog returning to its vomit. Some folks want to find true love but they can’t because they aren’t obedient. Other people are shacked up with the same person forever wondering when God is going to work. Yet if they would let that person go, God would work in their life and they would get the best of both worlds.
Our Life Is A Glass Box, Just Accept It And Let God Be A Part Of All Aspects Of Your Life
I’d like to encourage you to think about the parts of your life that you are trying to hide from God. Think about those compartments as built of glass, you can keep the glass door closed, but God knows what’s going on behind it. He just wants you to CHOOSE to share it with Him. So bring it into the light today and give God your entire life.
