One day, I was getting ready to go for a motorcycle ride. I was just heading out the door… when Nicole walked in the room.

I felt like I should include her, instead of just going off and doing whatever I wanted to do. So I invited her to come along.

You have to understand, I was, literally, walking out! So, NOW, I had to wait for her to get herself ready.

(I found out later, that she didn’t really want to go motorcycle riding. But, she felt she OUGHT to, in order to spend some quality time with me doing something I enjoyed.)

So, as it tuned out…I felt like I was doing HER a favor and she felt like she was doing ME a favor! (That’s jacked up!)

Meanwhile, I’m waiting for her and I hear her say something about putting in a load of laundry before she leaves.

LAUNDRY??? Are you kidding me?

In her mind, she thinks she’s taking better care of me because I’ll want those clean clothes, later. But honestly, RIGHT NOW, all I want to do is go out for a MOTORCYCLE RIDE!

Can you see how men and women THINK differently?

As part of a couple, we’d probably get along BETTER if we were just honest and communicated what we actually want and need.

The Bible says that love COVERS, love is KIND, and love isn’t puffed up. But sometimes, when our motor’s already running… that’s easier said than done! (Lol)

Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!

My husband does the same thing and I sometimes get mad because he has asked as he is walking out the door, but I don’t know why I get mad because I don’t really want to go. I think it’s the principal of it. After your post I started laughing because I can see myself. smh

  • Good one. I’m laughing. Or smiling big.
