A couple of years ago, I was going out for a dinner meeting. Ashtyn wanted to stay at home with a friend. The girls were excited because they thought they were acting so grown-up!

But, they were only big and grown-up UNTIL they heard a noise!

I got a phone call. “Daddy, I heard a noise like the security lock clicking.” I calmed her down and assured her that everything was alright.

Five minutes later, she called again. This time, her voice was quivering. “Daddy, we’re SCARED!!!”

“We locked ourselves in your bathroom and we’re hiding next to the toilet. We’ve got hairspray and a lighter! Daddy, when can you come home?”

I hadn’t even gotten my food yet! I told my party that I had to go and I rushed home. I knew there wasn’t anybody in the house. (If I really thought there was, I would’ve called her mama!) Lol

I knocked on the bathroom door.

“Who is it?” she asked.

“It’s your daddy,” I said.

“Daddy WHO?”

“It’s David Crank! OPEN UP THIS DOOR!!!” There they were with their pathetic little candle lighter and spray cans for defense.

Ashtyn did the right thing. She knew who to call. She KNEW, safety and security comes when I call upon my father.

You have a Father who sits above and looks down on you with mercy and love. Don’t hesitate to run to Him when you’re afraid.

There’s someone BIGGER than you… and He’s got this!

Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!

Thank you for that beautiful message about our Father In Heaven who loves us. My daughter is in a situation concerning needing a Job. She needs THE LORD to show up right now. People can only do so much but our God can fix everything. Please believe with us for her breakthrough. She has been following your ministry for awhile. Her name is Maxine Taylor.

Love this story. A great reminder of whose we are, and his power to be there no matter what. Thanks.
