Our church has been blessed with some beautiful sanctuaries and spacious offices, in St Louis. We’re building something good in Florida, but it’s at a different stage of development.

In our Royal Palm Chapel, if you can find the water cooler, you’ve found my original office. In that little spot, that’s where I used to study my Bible.

My pride sort of messed with me when I first went down there. “You really wanna start all over again?”

But, my pride had to take a back seat to God’s Will. (After all, I had nothing to prove.) What if God wanted to do this thing in Florida, not just to kill my pride, but to bless and help people?

My ego said, “Yeah, but what if people see pictures of this little ol’ chapel on social media and think that’s ALL you’ve got?”

But, the Royal Palm Chapel property was an AMAZING gift! I humbled myself and posted the pictures, anyway.

My friend, Todd Mullins of Christ Fellowship, saw the pictures and called me. He said, “Man, I’ve never thought about doing small chapels! I like that! We should do that!”

There’s power in humility!

On Good Friday, Jesus could have called down legions of angels to save Himself from the pain and suffering of crucifixion. But, He didn’t! Jesus humbled Himself and freely gave up His life for us!

Let’s honor His sacrifice, this Good Friday. Join us, at any of our campuses, for an intimate time of prayer, acoustical worship music, and holy communion.
