One night, our 14-year-old daughter, Ashtyn, jumped in bed and parked herself right between us. (Parents, you know how it is!)

I was just about to fall asleep when Nicole said she thought she heard someone in our house! I kinda brushed it off, at first. There’s nobody here. It’s no big deal!

Then 30 seconds later, Ashtyn said she thought she heard something, too! Oh man! If they BOTH heard it, then this MUST be real! Now, I was hearing it!

For some reason, they expected me to check it out! WHY ME???

So, I grabbed my shotgun. As soon as I walked out, Nicole locked the door behind me. (I guess, she figured one of us had to live on to pastor the church! Ha!)

I quietly tiptoed around and checked all the rooms. The only scary thing I found was Ashtyn’s room! It was a MESS!

It’s funny, how something can sound so frightening and turn out to be NOTHING!

It sounds like you might be losing your job. But then, you get PROMOTED! You’re afraid that you’ll never beat that addiction. But now, you’re HEALED!

God cares for you! Replace those negative thoughts with a positive Word from God and stop worrying about things that go “bump” in the night!

Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!
