One morning when I was in St. Louis, my son, Austin, called me all the way from Florida. He was burning MAD! Apparently, our car was full of ANTS because his sister, Ashtyn, had left food inside!

OH BOY…here we go!!!

I already had a plateful of problems of my own to deal with, and this just wasn’t on the top of my list.

(Hey, I wasn’t inside the ant-infested car! Who CARES? Ain’t nobody got time for that!)

But, like any good parent, I tried my best to diffuse the situation with a little humor. I asked Austin if he had ants in HIS pants? (Ha!)

Then he laughed and felt kind of silly for getting so worked up.

What would I have gained by getting aggravated from 1,000 miles away and taking on Austin’s problem as my own? A lot of the stuff we worry about doesn’t really matter!

Getting upset will just jack up your blood pressure and make you overeat. Who wants that? God wants us to focus on all the good things happening… not the few negatives.

After all, most situations are not HALF as bad as we think. Leave an insect fogger in the car overnight. Problem SOLVED!

Don’t sweat the SMALL STUFF! Because compared to our big GOD… it’s ALL small stuff!

Have a great day, today! I call you BLESSED!
