I went walking today and was feeling a bit lonely. My wife Nicole usually walks with me, and she was out of town, so I decided to call a friend. I got his voicemail and left him a nice message. Then I tried to call another friend and got HIS voicemail, so I left him a nice message. And then it hit me, I needed to talk to God. As I began to talk to God about many different things, he began to talk to me.

Listening To Others Can Be Therapeutic For Them

God began telling me how I need to listen to Nicole more often. God showed me that I was created to communicate, so when I spend time with Nicole I want to talk. God built her so that she can download everything I’m saying. The reality is that it would be therapeutic for her to download to me. She has mastered the art and discipline of listening.

We Need To Lean On God So That Others Can Lean On Us

God showed me that if I would download to HIM and process things with him, then I would be open to Nicole downloading to me, and I could help her process things. So that it would be fair and balanced because it’s not right now.

Calling A Friend Is Nothing Compared To Calling God

If I had called a friend, I wouldn’t have received anything compared to what I got from God. It would have been superficial. Lord help us to call on you, first. Teach us to talk to you about everything and then to be sensitive and open to hearing what you whisper back to us. We want to share everything with you and we want to hear what you have to say. We love you, Lord. Amen!
